Downtown Manhattan Beach offers a great shopping experience for anyone visiting the beach including locals, tourists, families, etc.
Downtown Manhattan Beach is situated right near the beach. It includes various stores, restaurants, and events. It blends the features of a beach town with urban sophistication. The upscale area is clean and very well maintained.
Most of the interesting shops and restaurants are situated on and around Highland Avenue, between Manhattan Beach Blvd and 15th Street.
The paved path cutting the beach is called "The Strand". It runs from Hermosa to Manhattan Beach, and it is a great way to enjoy fresh ocean air, running, bike, roller blade, etc.
Farmers markets are common for Los Angeles cities, and downtown Manhattan Beach hosts a farmers market, too. It takes place on every Tuesday 12pm to 4pm at 13th Street between Morningside Drive and Valley/Ardmore.
